On April 30, we celebrated the life of Miguel Gonzales and decried his untimely death resulting from a cascade of events born of economic violence against DC’s lower income residents and vulnerable communities of color.

Just a few days after our vigil, Truist Bank bank tore down Miguel’s memorial without any account or care, perpetuating the harm against our Adams Morgan community. We will restore Miguel’s vigil on Saturday.
